From May 2005 until July 2006 I was employed by HP as a second line desktop support engineer for one of their major clients.

Duties were desktop and server support on multi domains at multiple levels for over 25,000 users world-wide. Resolving issues the main helpdesk team could not fix or did not have enough time to deal with. Remote server maintenance and backups, exchange administration over multiple domains. Talking local based administrators through problem resolution and re-building of desktops. Printer queue monitoring. Servers backed up by Arcserve and NT Backup. NAS/SAN backups and maintenance. Corrupt and deleted files restored by NAS and Tape.

Anything that could not be resolved by the desktop team would then be handed over to third line.
